Barmouth Town is a seaside resort situated on the North West coast of Wales on the mouth of the Mawddach Estuary it is set against the back drops of the Welsh mountains and the sea. The Mawddach Estuary has the famous 900yard Wooden bridge (known as Barmouth Bridge) which was built in 1867 this was to carry the railway line along the Cambrian coast. Today the bridge continues to be used to transport the local trains and it can also be used for pedestrians for a small fee which is really priceless when you see the views that are to be had whilst walking the Mawddach trail as it is known as today. Barmouth Harbour is a beautiful area to go and visit, why not make the most of one of the many eating establishments and watch the local fisher men coming and going and enjoy the panoramic views.
